Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 October 2026

These terms cover your use of blog.infostruction.com. Using the site means accepting them.

What this site is

Infostruction publishes writing about security, IT operations, vendor relationships and the way organisations actually work. It is a personal publication. Nothing here is a service offering, and nothing here creates a professional relationship between you and the author.

Technical content

Many posts describe configuration steps, scripts, security findings and troubleshooting work. They describe what happened in a particular environment at a particular time. They are published so other people can learn from them, not as instructions to run against your own systems unchanged.

Test anything you take from here before you use it somewhere that matters, and make sure you have the authority to run it. The author is not responsible for what happens when this material is applied elsewhere.

Accuracy

Posts are written in good faith and corrected when they turn out to be wrong, but they are not maintained as current documentation. Software changes, vendors change, and a post that was accurate when written may not be accurate now. Check the publication date.

Comments

Comments are welcome and are moderated. Comments that are spam, abusive, or that publish other people’s personal information will be removed. Leaving a comment does not transfer ownership of what you wrote, but it does give permission to display it here alongside the post.

Copyright

The writing, diagrams and images on this site belong to their author unless credited otherwise. Quoting a passage with a link back is fine and encouraged. Reproducing whole posts is not.

Some posts include screenshots, logos or quoted material belonging to other parties. Those remain the property of their owners and appear here for commentary and identification.

Links to other sites

Posts link to vendors, tools, research and other writing. Those sites are not controlled from here, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

Changes

These terms may change. The date above records when they last did.

Contact

Questions about these terms, a correction to a post, or a takedown request can go through the contact form on this site.
